So today marks my 5 month mark! It's been a crazy 5 months.
The last week I've been trying to learn my new area. My companion, Elder Evensen, is also trying to learn half of the area, because they gave us a new stake. So neither of us know half the area, and only he knows the other half. But it's fun. We are over 2 stakes, Clinton North and Roy South, and 18 wards. It keeps us busy... still on bikes. The other missionaries in the zone are pretty sweet, I'm pretty excited for this transfer. The only down side is my home is SMALL. I went from a full apartment last transfer to only a bedroom in a members house. I have one bedroom with Elder Evensen to sleep, study, and spend time. Kinda really clausterphobic
We had a baptism this Sat. It was cool to go to... been a while since I've been to one. My area is rural suburbs, so I was pretty scared that I wouldn't have any more crazy Ogdenite stories. I was wrong. They may not be Ogdenites, but they still are fun.
There is a house with a full sized pet cemetary in the yard. It's really creepy to walk by at night. I also met with a guy who, once finding out I'm from Texas said, "so you were hit pretty hard with that Haiti thing weren't you?" A bit confusing. I'm not sure if he thought Texas was an island by Haiti or not. Either way I gave up and agreed.
I heard a good quote for the week. "A fish discovers water last" Many who have grown up with the Gospel come to a full knowlege and appreciation late. I know I did. I encourage all fish out there, anyone who has learned about our Savior and our Father in Heaven to discover it now. Don't take it for granted. Discover water!
Love you all and hope to hear from you soon.
